Department of Nephrology,SGPGIMS,warmly invites you to participate in"Advanced Certificate Course in Renal Nutrition and Metabolism" which us being organized on April 4 and 5th 2015.

This course is focused on traning MD Physicians and dieticians for prevention and management of malnutrition in CKD population.The scientific content of the workshop is strcutured along pathophysiology,causes,management strategies and updated on latest information on chronic kidney disease (CKD).The scientific content is directly related to patient care which will be useful in current renal-specific nutritional practice.
The curriculam of the course includes understanding cause and metabolic changaes contributing to protein-energy wasting in kidney disease,to evaluate screening measures of nutritional status and to develop pratical skills to implement and critically evaluate nutritional assessment methods and research to review current renal specificnutritional guidelines and treatment options for the range of CKD conditions such as acute kidney injury,diabetic nephropathy,hypertension,kidney stone disease,glomerulopathies,end stage renal disease etc.The course focuses on issues of utmost importance ina day to day practice.

The advance course will be helpful in planning more focused approach in management of patients and will be an oppurnity to interact with groups working in renal nutrition.
Lectures will be based on clinical cases.One session will be exclusively on bedside (hands-on-expereience) traning in which course faculty will discuss clinical cases woth delegates.We invite you to particpate in the session on "clinical case presentation by MD Physicians" in which you,as deligateget a chance to present a clinical case and discuss it with the panel of experts.This will be a good oppurnity for you to discuss practical problems in patient's clinical and nutritional managemet. Six delgates can present cases/Time alloted for each speaker will be 10 minutes.
